Position Summary:
P17 Solutions is seeking experienced Field Technicians to support our West Service Area field team, providing hands-on technical work. The position supports the physical and logical integration of fiber-optic and IP-based circuits and coordinates technical activities associated with transitioning legacy copper and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) systems to modern fiber and IP network infrastructure across the National Airspace System (NAS).

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Integration: Support the integration, implementation, and testing of systems supporting the National Airspace System (NAS).
- Legacy-to-IP Migrations: Perform technical activities throughout the network infrastructure lifecycle, from site preparation through implementation and final deployment. Support the migration of legacy TDM circuits to IP-based infrastructure, including circuit activation, cutover coordination, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
- Provide Hands-On Infrastructure Support: Perform hands-on configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, protocols, servers, and related hardware. Resolve complex technical issues encountered during deployments across multiple sites and geographic areas.
Required Qualifications:
- College degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline (or equivalent military or field experience).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications network engineering, circuit integration, or infrastructure planning.
- Understanding of of BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and IPv6, specifically telecommunications infrastructure for TDM-to-IP conversion.
- Hands-on experience with optical networking (fiber), telecom network infrastructure hardware, server-level deployments, testing, validation and acceptance.
- Telecommunications infrastructure experience with ground networks, air to ground systems and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading the technical integration side of large infrastructure initiatives; ability to apply project management methodologies to ensure delivery, compliance, and mission alignment.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support hybrid NAS environments.
- Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
- Familiarity with FAA BNATCS protocols or similar mission-critical government network standards
Work Environment
- Full-time, onsite at one of the locations listed
- Must reside within 90-mile radius; no relocation assistance
- Travel about 15%
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay will be commensurate with experience, based on qualifications, certifications, location, clearance level, and contract requirements.
